"Once upon a time there were three sisters, Faith, Hope and Love. The greatest of them, some thought, was Faith, who traveled around the world. In heat or cold, winter or summer, she was always on the road - tireless, winged by her love for people. She peered through the glowing windows of the people on dark nights, and where she found fear, hesitation, weakness, loneliness, she entered and gave people hope.
Thus, Hope went around, passing from house to house, city, country, leaving behind pearls that shone and shone, and made people smile at the future they saw in front of them.
It was these glowing pearls that the stars saw shining on the night sky. Hope watched them and was happy that something good was happening there on earth and that people were happy. She knew that when they were happy, they would find time to look at the sky, enjoy her radiant attire, and begin to dream. And everyone knows that dreams give birth to new, good ideas and when people make them come true, their lives will become better, and they in turn will be able to bring hope and love to others.
One night a star noticed that two pearls shone in the same way, with the same light, with the same beating of hearts. One shone in a small country, Bulgaria, and the other pearl on the other side, at the other end of the continent, in Denmark. And the star realized that the two pearls pulsated in the same way, because people there dreamed of the same thing - to help orphans to receive warmth, love and care, the homeless to find shelter and hope for their future.
The star thought that if you connect these two pearls, they will shine even brighter and will attract to them people's eyes and hope will become real good. And the star directed two rays to the earth - one to Bulgaria, and the other one to Denmark and the miracle happened! Hope and goodness shone there with such force that they drove away the darkness and despair of many children and young people without parents and gave them direction to grow and strengthen in this light of goodness and charity. What happened to Hope? She continues to shed her gift for those who need it, and sometimes, when she rests, she looks up at the sky and smiles at her assistant. The stars shake their heads verbally as if to say, "Yes, the world is better now!"
This story is true. Hope and the star (stars) exist - Star of Hope Foundation and Y’s Men International, Region Denmark and Y’s Men´s Club of Sofia-East, in whose emblem the guiding star shines. Both organizations have set out with the noble goal of restoring an old house in Sofia, given for 10 years to the Star of Hope Foundation for renovation. The big dream, which took shape as an idea, grew into a project that captured the minds and hearts of the leaders and employees of the foundation, the members of Y’s Men´s Club of Sofia-East, who in turn passed the idea for this project to Y’s Men International, Region Denmark. The goal of renovating this house is to make it a sheltered housing for young people from social homes. After reaching the age of 18 and leaving the state social homes the young people need specific support to become able to take care of themselves as citizens of Bulgaria.
The dream of the foundation is also to establish a day center in this house for people with special needs, and to help filling up a great need for centers like this in Bulgaria.
And here comes the participation of the Y’s Men´s Club of Sofia-East, which as an organization has taken to heart the care of young people from the sheltered housing and is an active partner of the foundation in the implementation of the project "House of the Future". Y's Men´s Club of Sofia East applied for a project to the Y's Men International, Region Denmark and so the project "INTRUST" appeared, which aims to support the project "Future and Hope", related to renovation and use of the house as a shelter and social center .
Under this project Y´s Men International, Region Denmark raised the amount of 5.000 Euro, which is donated through Y's Men´s Club of Sofia-East to the Star of Hope Foundation in 2020. A symbolic check was presented to the Executive Director of the Foundation Tanya Konyarova by the President of Y's Men´s Club of Sofia- East, Ivan Pavlov during the 2020 Christmas Charity Bazaar of the Foundation, which was organized in the house. This showed the progress in the renovation of the house, part of which is the project "INTRUST".
